Who we are
Exco
Kim is a wife, mother to two adult sons and a passionate South African. She has a sales and marketing background mainly in the IT Industry. She has been volunteering full time at the Mother Touch Academy since 2014. She is passionate about giving back and to a making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
Nothando is a hardworking, empathetic, dedicated and resilient woman. She is a good listener and a team player. She is a qualified teacher and has been working with pre-school children since 2004. She ensures that all learners under her care are fully equipped to start their academic journey in Grade 1 with a solid foundation, enabling them to excel in all aspects of live.
Pratika is a seasoned leader with almost 20 years of banking and corporate experience and has a passion for the potential that entrepreneurship holds in transforming peoples’ lives. When Pratika isn't working or spending time with her two boys, she enjoys using her skills and experience in making the Mother Touch Academy an even better school. Pratika holds a Bachelor of Business Science Degree from Rhodes University and completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration at GIBS.
Margaret has 4 children and is a grandmother to 6. When she is not running errands and managing the maintenance for the Mother Touch Academy, she volunteers at her local police station and knits blankets for charity. Margaret loves spending time in her garden with her dogs and cat, playing bridge and regularly meeting up with friends. In her early life she was in sales.
Trish is a wife and mother to three daughters. She is a qualified pre-primary teacher and taught for a number of years as well as ran her own playschool for 4 years. She loves young children and believes that pre-primary education is vitally important and a necessary foundation for every child.

Teachers
Nthabiseng is a passionate Early Childhood Development educator and Vice Principal at Mother Touch Academy. She is dedicated to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where children feel valued and inspired to learn. With a strong focus on holistic development, she encourages confidence, curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of learning. She also supports the school’s staff, families and leadership team in maintaining high standards of care and education.
Taurai is a dedicated Senior Teacher with a passion for Early Childhood Development. He creates a caring and stimulating environment where children develop strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, creativity and social-emotional skills through purposeful play. Known for his patience and encouraging approach, Taurai helps children build confidence, independence and curiosity while supporting fellow educators in delivering quality teaching and care.
Mam Sandy is a caring and compassionate teacher who creates a safe, nurturing environment for our youngest learners. Through play, songs, storytelling, sensory activities and movement, she supports children’s language, motor, cognitive and social-emotional development. Her gentle and patient approach helps children build confidence and independence while forming positive relationships with their peers and teachers.
Mam Portia is a warm and dedicated teacher who nurtures our youngest learners with patience, care and compassion. She creates engaging, age-appropriate, play-based experiences that support children’s cognitive, language, physical, sensory and social-emotional development. She believes every child is unique and works closely with families to help each learner build confidence, independence and a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Gloria is a creative and energetic teacher who brings warmth and enthusiasm to the 3–4-year-old classroom. She uses purposeful play and interactive learning to nurture children’s confidence, curiosity and holistic development. As the school’s Events Coordinator, Gloria also brings her exceptional organisation and creativity to school celebrations and community events, creating memorable experiences that bring learners and families together.
Hilda plays an important role in ensuring that learners feel safe, cared for and supported before and after school. With her calm and patient approach, she assists with daily routines, homework, meals and recreational activities while encouraging positive social skills and independence. Her warmth, reliability and genuine love for children make her a valued member of the Mother Touch Academy family.
Colbert plays a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our learners by preparing nutritious, wholesome meals each day. He takes great pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety in the school kitchen. His reliability, care and positive attitude contribute to the warm and nurturing environment at Mother Touch Academy.
Paulos and Enock help keep Mother Touch Academy’s grounds clean, safe and welcoming for our learners, staff and visitors. They take pride in maintaining the gardens, lawns, playgrounds and walkways, creating a beautiful outdoor environment where children can learn, play and grow. Their reliability, teamwork and dedication make them an important part of the academy community.
Prisca plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment at Mother Touch Academy. With her strong work ethic and attention to detail, she ensures that classrooms, play areas, restrooms and shared spaces are hygienic and well maintained. Her dedication and professionalism contribute to the health, wellbeing and positive experience of every child at the academy.
